Capcom vs SNK 2 puts Street Fighter and King of Fighters characters on the same screen, and the version on this Pandora Game Console is the real Sega Naomi arcade release from 2001. In Japan it carried the subtitle Mark of the Millennium 2001, and for a lot of 2D fighting fans it is the crossover they play when everyone else has gone home.
Ryu, Terry Bogard, Iori, Chun-Li, Kyo and Guile share one roster. Capcom drew SNK's fighters in its own style, and the backgrounds are some of the most detailed of that era.
Two systems make CvS2 play differently from either company's own games. Before a match you pick a groove, and each groove borrows rules from a different series: Street Fighter Alpha style super meters in one, King of Fighters rolls and power charging in another, Street Fighter III parries in a third. Then you build a team with ratio points. You can bring one strong fighter, or spread the points across three weaker ones, and the ratio changes how much damage each character deals and takes.
It sounds like a lot. In practice you pick a groove that feels like the game you grew up on and start playing, and the deeper stuff is there when you want it.

If you only upgrade one thing for CvS2, make it the stick. Parries and roll cancels depend on quick, clean inputs, and a Sanwa lever is lighter and snappier than the standard one.
