Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes started life on the PlayStation Portable, where CyberConnect2's Ultimate Ninja series squeezed its anime fights onto a small screen and a cramped set of buttons. This package puts it on a Pandora Game Console, with a big HDMI picture and an arcade stick in front of you instead.
If you played it back in the PSP days, you remember the cel-shaded characters that look like they walked out of the show, and the special jutsu that take over the screen when they land. You probably also remember your thumbs aching. Playing it on a panel fixes that.
Ultimate Ninja Heroes is an arcade-style fighter at heart. Rounds are short and the inputs are simple enough that a newcomer can pick up a character in a few minutes. That makes it a good game to hand to a friend who does not normally play fighters, especially if they grew up on the anime.
A real stick also helps with movement. You spend a lot of each round dashing around the stage, and a lever with a solid gate is easier to control for long sessions than a handheld's nub or a phone screen.
The older Pandora boards cannot run this one. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes runs only on the Pandora Platinum Pro mainboard, and that is the board in this package. The Pro board is also the one we recommend for PSP and 3D games in general.
Three hardware styles are on offer: Pandora Single Panel, Pandora Dual Panel and the Pandora Wireless 2 Joystick Separated Edition. For a two-player fighter the Dual Panel is the easy choice. If you want better parts, "Get the Official Sanwa Upgrade?" lets you swap in Sanwa buttons, Sanwa joysticks, or both.
The games themselves come on archive cards, so pick at least one when you configure the Pandora Game Console. The choices here include the Fighting Masters Archive Card, the Mortal Kombat Life Retro Archive Card, the 3 and 4 Player Arcade Games Archive Card and the Mario Kart Madness & Friends Archive Card, and you can add a second card on top. Choosing "No Game Card" means the console arrives with no games.

Performance of archive has been tested and will work with your Pandora Platinum Pro version console.
