About this product
NFL Blitz 2024 is an unofficial update of Midway's arcade football game, and it fixes the one thing that dated the old versions: the rosters. The teams, logos, helmets and players are current, so you are throwing to names you actually know instead of guys who retired before your kids were born. On the Pandora Game Console it comes on the NFL Greatest Video Games Archive 1 card.
Under the new paint it still plays like Blitz: seven on seven, big passes, late hits, and games that end before the snacks run out.
The new rosters are only part of it. NFL Blitz 2024 lets you design your own plays and save them, so the trick play you drew up stays in your playbook for the next game. There is a season mode if you want to take one team through a full schedule instead of playing one-off matches. And there is something the original Blitz never had: you can now Go on Fire, the hot streak idea NBA Jam players will recognize.
The game also supports four players. The console's two sticks cover players one and two, so for a full four-player game you will need controllers for the other two.
The NFL Greatest Video Games Archive 1 is the game card offered in the first slot on this page, and it is all football. Blitz 2024 shares it with:
Click for Game List for the rest. Choosing "No Game Card - YOU WONT HAVE ANY GAMES!" instead means the Pandora Platinum Pro console arrives with no games at all.
The console comes as a Pandora Dual Panel, a Pandora Single Panel, or the Pandora Wireless 2 Joystick Separated Edition. On a couch the separated sticks make sense, since nobody has to stand at a shared panel for a whole season.
"Get the Official Sanwa Upgrade?" is the next choice. Sanwa makes the levers and buttons used in Japanese arcade cabinets, and the page lets you upgrade the buttons, the joysticks, or both. If you are happy with the standard parts, keep Default Pandora Platinum Hardware.
For slot two you can add Mario Kart Madness & Friends, the Neo Geo Arcade Games List Archive, the 3D Fighting Game Archive Card or the Run & Gun Games List Archive. Slot three offers Mortal Kombat Life Retro, Retro Arcade or Run & Gun. Leave either one at No Additional Game Archive if football is all you came for. Every card plugs into the back of the Pandora Game Console.
