The two small buttons above each stick

This Start & Coin Buttons Set of 4 replaces the small buttons that sit above each player's joystick on a Pandora Game Console panel: coin and start for player one, coin and start for player two. Four buttons, one for each spot.

Nobody thinks about these buttons until one stops clicking. Then you cannot add a credit or join a game in progress, and on plenty of games you cannot even get past the title screen. A big action button going soft is annoying, but a dead start button can park the whole console.

Bring a retired stick back

Maybe you have an old Pandora Game Console chassis sitting in a closet because its coin or start buttons quit. The joysticks and the large buttons on that panel may be fine. Swap the four small ones and the panel can go back on the coffee table where it belongs.

The same goes for a panel that still works but feels tired. Start and coin get pressed between every game by every player, usually harder than they need to be, so they are often the first part of a panel to wear out.

What they fit

We made these buttons for the Pandora Game Console Platinum and Platinum Pro. They also fit most home arcade Pandora's Box consoles that use the same layout, with two small buttons above each player's stick, and they may work in other arcade stick chassis and cases where the holes are the same size.

That last part comes with a caveat. We do not guarantee how they perform in Pandora Box versions that were not supplied by Pandora Platinum, because those boxes are built by other people to their own specs and we have no way to test them all. If your console came from us, these are a direct match.

Swapping them in

Buttons on this style of panel are normally changed from the inside. Open the panel, pull the wire connectors off the old button, squeeze its clips and push it up and out through the hole. The new one goes in from the top, clicks into place and takes the same connectors. Snap a photo of the wiring with your phone before you unplug anything, so coin and start end up on the right wires.

If the panel still does not respond after the swap, the button probably was not the problem. Check that every connector is pushed all the way on, then call US SUPPORT in Las Vegas and tell us what you see. Someone who works on this hardware every day will help you figure out which part is at fault before you buy another one.

Why we sell parts one at a time

Buttons and joysticks are wear parts, the same as they are in a real arcade cabinet. We would rather sell you four buttons than a whole new panel, so the high-use parts of the console are sold separately. This set sits in Arcade Parts next to the 8 Way Arcade Joystick and the 4 Way Joystick Restrictor Plate, which means you can fix the piece that broke and keep everything else.
