An arcade stick is the right tool for Street Fighter and Galaga. It is not always the right tool for a PSP racer or a PlayStation game that expects analog sticks and shoulder buttons. That is what this set is for: PlayStation-style wireless controller pads made for the Pandora Game Console Platinum Pro.

Maybe you just like the feel of a pad in your hands. Fair enough. Plenty of people grew up on one.

What they are good at

The dongle

The set comes with an additional dongle for expansion with the Pandora Platinum Pro Wireless Edition console. If you are building a Wireless Edition from scratch and want four players, look at the options in its builder first: the 4 Player Expansion Hub and the 3rd and 4th player controller pads are offered there as package upgrades.

Setting them up

The Pandora Platinum supports several controller types, and you map a controller in the system settings the first time you use it. The Pro board also lets you set buttons per game and save that layout, so a game that feels wrong out of the box can usually be fixed. One honest note: wireless controllers may behave differently from game to game and from archive to archive. A pad that is perfect in a PS1 racer can feel odd in an old arcade game that was built for a joystick. Use the right controller for the game and you will be happy with both. Most owners keep the arcade panel for arcade games and reach for a pad when the game asks for one.

Compatibility

These wireless controllers and the dongle are designed for Pandora Platinum Pro consoles only. We do not offer support or compatibility for clone consoles, so if your console did not come from us, these are not the pads for it.
