This is a pack of 6 replacement buttons for the Pandora Game Console Platinum, a full set for the main six buttons on your panel. They come new, in one pack, ready to go in.

Our buttons are made to take a beating, but nothing on a panel that gets played lasts forever. Kids with sticky fingers get to them first, the friend who mashes every button in a Tekken match comes next, and the rest simply reach the end of their working life after enough games.

How to tell a button is going

A worn button usually lets you know. It stays down for a moment after you press it, it needs a harder hit than the one beside it, or it drops a press in the middle of a combo. In a shooter that is the bomb that never went off. In a fighting game it is the special move that came out as a jab.

When one button fails, the others in that row have had the same use, and replacing all six at once keeps the feel even from button to button. Swapping them means opening the panel and moving the wiring from the old buttons to the new ones.

Why all six matter

The Pandora Platinum is built for six button arcade action, and that number comes from Street Fighter II. Capcom gave each player light, medium and heavy punches and kicks, and most fighting games since have followed that pattern. Neo Geo games use four buttons, plenty of beat 'em ups use two or three, but on the fighting cards you will reach for every one of them. A dead button hurts more there than anywhere else.

Spares, extras and the Sanwa option

A Single Panel console already ships with an extra set of buttons in the box. If you still have that set, you may have your replacements on hand. This pack is for when those spares are used up, or for keeping a set on the shelf so a dead button never ends a game night.

If you are buying a new console and want a different feel altogether, the "Get the Official Sanwa Upgrade?" option in the console builder offers Sanwa buttons, Sanwa joysticks, or both. Sanwa buttons are the ones used in many Japanese arcade cabinets, and they react to a lighter touch.

Which consoles they fit

We designed these buttons for the Pandora Game Console Platinum home arcade console. They may work in other chassis and other consoles, but we do not guarantee how they perform in anything except our own units. If you are fixing a clone or a custom build, treat them as a gamble.
