About this product
The Platinum Pro Wireless Edition has the same processing power as our wired arcade panels, in a different shape. The Pandora Platinum mainboard sits in its own compact case next to the TV, and two wireless arcade joysticks go wherever the players want to sit, whether that is the couch, the floor or the far side of the coffee table.
One Bluetooth USB receiver handles both joysticks. The first time you set it up, you map the controllers in the system settings, and the setup video in our FAQ walks you through each step.
Everything else is a package upgrade, added at its listed price when you build:
Like every Pandora Game Console, this one has no games pre-installed. Pick your cards in the builder, or the console will arrive with nothing to play.
A full 4 player game needs two additions. The first is the 4 Player Expansion Hub, which lets the console accept a second pair of wireless controllers. The second is that pair itself. Arcade sticks keep everyone on equal footing, while controller pads suit younger players who grew up holding a gamepad. Then load the 3 and 4 Player Arcade Games Archive Card for X-Men, Sunset Riders, NBA Jam and the rest of that crowd.
We hear this question a lot. Some players believe a wireless stick adds a fraction of a second of input delay in competitive play. We do not notice it in normal play. If you play fighting games at tournament level and that fraction worries you, the wired Dual Panel gives you the same separated layout over a cable.
Yes, the wireless joysticks take Sanwa parts too. Keep the Default Pandora Platinum Hardware, or choose Upgrade to Sanwa Buttons, Upgrade to Sanwa Joysticks, or Upgrade to Sanwa Joysticks & Buttons. Sanwa levers and buttons are what most Japanese arcade cabinets use, and they feel lighter and quicker under your hands.
The HDMI 2.0 output uses Super HD upscaling for modern TVs, and the menu has a 4:3 option if you want the original arcade frame. Save states keep your progress. The console has no Wi-Fi, so it never pushes an update you did not ask for.
Our Lifetime Mainboard Warranty comes with the Wireless Edition too. That covers the mainboard and power supply powering on, the main case chassis, and the attachment cords and HDMI cable. Joystick assemblies, tops, controller pads and sticks are under a limited 90 day warranty and can be replaced one part at a time when they wear. We do not cover archive cards, user error, or hardware and software you have modified yourself. US SUPPORT in Las Vegas answers at 1-702-827-7701.
